About us

Segariu was born from vision, tradition, and a profound love for the land. In 1980, Antonio Curreli purchased a barren plot in the heart of northern Sardinia, overlooking the mysterious island of Tavolara. Where others saw wilderness, he saw legacy.

With patience and conviction, he began building not just a home, but a cultural statement — one that honours Sardinia’s history through its architecture, its materials, and its soul. The estate grew stone by stone, tree by tree, becoming a place where every corner tells a story.

Today, Segariu stands as a private retreat for those who value timeless elegance, artisanal detail, and the silent strength of tradition.

The Identity Behind the Gate

The name Segariu is not a coincidence — it is a tribute. Taken from Antonio’s hometown in southern Sardinia, it represents his roots, and is now engraved in the very essence of the estate.

Segariu is more than a residence: it is a signature. The custom-made ceramics, the locally produced wines and liqueurs, and the grand iron gate at the entrance all bear its name. Each element was designed not to impress, but to endure — to quietly express authenticity, quality, and a deeply Sardinian sense of beauty.

Even the rooftop tiles, made from local clay, tell of earth and time: aged by moss, kissed by wind, alive with memory.
